March 12, 2025

Following the dates of candidate nomination and withdrawal, the following candidates have been nominated in each district for the 2025 elections to CCO Council. Voting for CCO elections will open on March 14, 2025. Eligible voters in each district will receive an email to vote, with voting instructions and a link to an electronic ballot on March 14, 2025

As of February 25, 2025, Dr. Lynne Rawson has withdrawn her candidacy in District 5.

CCO Council is comprised of 9 elected members and 6 – 7 public members.

Pursuant to By-law 6: Election of Council Members, elections to CCO Council will be held in Districts 2, 3 and 4 and a by-election in District 5 in Spring 2025.

Please note, as part of CCO’s College Performance Measurement Framework Action Plan, CCO Council approved:

  • Competencies for Council and Committee Members and Peer Assessors on November 25, 2021, amended June 21, 2023 and January 24, 2025, and
  • A mandatory orientation session for all candidates scheduled for February 24, 2025, 6 pm, to outline the roles and responsibilities for CCO Council members, focusing on CCO’s public interest mandate.

Please review the documents below for further details. Nomination papers, candidate undertakings, biographical information and additional campaign material must be received by CCO by February 18, 2025 at 4 p.m.
