All Ontario health regulatory colleges are accountable to the Ontario Ministry of Health. CCO files its annual report and submits an annual College Performance Measurement Framework evaluation to the Ministry of Health.

Health Professions Review and Appeal Board
The Health Professions Review and Appeal Board (HPARB) is the independent adjudicative agency that upon request, conducts hearings and reviews of decisions and orders made by the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee and Registration Committee of health regulatory colleges in Ontario.

Office of the Fairness Commissioner
The Office of the Fairness Commissioner (OFC) assesses the registration practices of certain regulated professions in Ontario. Its purpose is to ensure that registration practices are transparent, objective, impartial and fair.
The OFC requires regulatory bodies to review their registration practices, and file annual public reports.

Health Profession Regulators of Ontario
The College of Chiropractors of Ontario is a member of the Health Professions Regulators of Ontario (HPRO). HPRO is a forum for inter-professional collaboration, develops training programs, and creates resources for colleges, regulated health professionals and members of the public.

Ontario Courts
Decisions of CCO’s Discipline, and Fitness to Practise, committee panels can be appealed to the Divisional Court of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
