Animal Chiropractic

On June 6, 2024, Bill 171, Enhancing Professional Care for Animals Act, 2024 received Royal Assent. The Veterinary Professionals Act, 2024, will come into force upon proclamation. Please see the following link for further information.

As part of the Veterinary Professionals Act, 2024, chiropractors are listed as a profession that is authorized to perform authorized activities and use the “doctor of chiropractic” or “D.C.” title while providing or offering care to animals. CCO anticipates that further details will be developed through regulations prior to proclamation.

As part of its mandate to regulate the chiropractic care of animals in accordance with Standard of Practice S-009: Chiropractic Care of Animals, CCO asked members whether they consent to be part of a voluntary public listing of members who provide chiropractic care to animals to be made available on CCO’s website, as part of the public register. This would allow the public to access information that confirms that a member has indicated that they provide chiropractic care to animals and are in compliance with Standard of Practice S-009: Chiropractic Care of Animals.

As of July 22, 2024, the following members have indicated that they consent to be part of a voluntary public listing of members who provide chiropractic care to animals. This list will continue to be updated as members notify CCO.

Please check the public register for further details about these members.
