Regulations are rules made by Council and approved of by the Ontario government after public consultation and review by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. CCO is authorized to make regulations by section 95(1) of the Health Professions Procedural Code (“Code”), which is Schedule 2 to the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991.
The following are proposed regulations. Please note, proposed regulations do not come into effect until receiving royal assent from the Ontario Government.
