Who We Are
CCO is a self-governing body, established by the provincial government by statute to regulate chiropractors in Ontario in the public interest.
- CCO is committed to improving the health and well-being of Ontarians by informing the public and assuring them of competent and ethical chiropractic care.
- CCO examines, registers and regulates the chiropractic profession and partners with other health professions, their licensing bodies, organizations and government.
- CCO sets requirements for entry to the profession, registers chiropractors, sets standards of practice and guidelines for professional practice, monitors chiropractic competence through a quality assurance program, investigates complaints against chiropractors and disciplines those members who have committed acts of professional misconduct or who are incompetent or incapacitated.
